To provide you with the knowledge and skills to provide high-quality dentistry for children that is child, parent and dentist friendly.  We will be focussing on prevention and management of dental caries.  The course will be interactive and participation is expected. It will be delivered through lecture-based teaching.

 

Key clinical endpoints:

  • Apply recommended guidelines on prevention of caries to children
  • Understand the use of motivational interviewing for behaviour change in a dental setting
  • Understand when and how to use the Hall Technique
  • Consolidate diagnostic skills for dental caries and explain the thresholds for using a different clinical technique
